CONDÉ NAST JOHANSENS ANNUAL AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE 2008
These awards are presented to those properties worldwide that achieve the finest standards and best value for money in luxury and independent accommodation. Condé Nast also publishes luxury magazines including Vogue, GQ, House and Garden and World of Interiors, so standards are high.

LES TOQUES DU PERIGORD
Earlier this year Château Le Mas de Montet Head Chef and co-owner Richard Stimson became the first non-French chef to be elected to the Toques du Périgord. The association includes some of the top chefs of the region, several with Michelin stars. Election is judged on a 10 point quality charter. Key criteria include the quality, consistency and authenticity of the cuisine, the use of the best regional products, but above all the warmth and professionalism of the welcome.The increasing success of the restaurant means that we have been able to make significant investment in the kitchen. Apart from new equipment and further menu development (including significantly increased choice) we now have a kitchen brigade of six people.

...... WE’RE OPEN ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, ALL YEAR
- Tea/coffee (5€ including biscuits) and drinks throughout the day – come and look around at your leisure - in the depths of winter relax by the log fire
- Dinner is served from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. A la carte or the four course Menu du Château (at least six choices at each course) from 45€
- Lunch reservations are available by prior arrangement for groups of eight or more.
